Wildlife at Warfield Park

January 2012 Bulletin

The Mallard family have taken off for a winter vacation but the Egyptian Geese have decided to stay and enjoy the amenities .at Warfield Park

Mallard family
The whole brood of Mallards was successfully reared in their home on the park's pond and have been enjoying park life. A floating island was built for them so that they were less at risk from the local foxes.

Egyptian Geese return

The pair of Egyptian geese which settled at Warfield Park last year have returned despite their run-in with the local fox. The gander still has a limp and that is how we recognised him!
